Random Name Picker
Paste a list of names and draw one or more at random. Ideal for classrooms, raffles, meetings and games.
How to pick a random name
Paste names one per line, choose how many to draw, and press Pick. Each name can only be chosen once per draw, so results are never duplicated.
Random name picker for teachers
Call on students fairly, choose helpers, or decide presentation order. Saving your class list on your device means it is ready next lesson.
Raffles, meetings and games
Draw raffle winners, pick who speaks first in a stand-up, or choose the next player. Spinning on a shared screen makes the pick transparent.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result really random?
Yes. WheelofChoice uses your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), so every outcome has the same chance unless you deliberately change the weights.
Is it free and do I need an account?
It is completely free and works without sign up. Your lists are saved only on your own device.
Are names stored on a server?
No. Your list stays in your browser unless you choose to create a share link.
